Simple Essentials History.

With nearly 50 years of experience in the industry, Kim has established Simple Essentials as a unique “total package” consultancy that offers an impressive knowledge base and resource team for ingredients, formulators, contract manufacturers, design, packaging, ethical testing, as well as quality assurance, technical and regulatory specialists. Kim has worked in every sector of the industry, including opening and running two highly acclaimed Spa businesses in Mayfair and Surrey.

As an experienced cosmetologist and educator, Kim’s background in the skincare industry is as a product creator with the sales and marketing skills to place a new range of products within the right market. For nearly 50 years Kim has trained with some of the top skincare houses in the world – including Estee Lauder, Prescriptives, Sothys, Rene Guinot and Academie, and worked with Creighton’s Naturally, Bach Flower Remedies, Nelsons Homeopathy, Cariad and Absolutely Aromas within the new product development, sales and marketing arenas.

As part of her role in product development, she has created full professional and retail skincare ranges for leading aromatherapy companies, designed and created a full treatment protocol with product range for a top cruise line spa company and has spent over 30 years creating fragrances and aromatherapy blends for projects including two major salon/spa suppliers in the US. Kim has created signature fragrances for one for the world’s most elite spa companies ESPA.

About Kim.

Kim understands the value of keeping in touch with the latest industry trends and developments by attending workshops, seminars and courses. She is also well known for her writing in the media and developing training manuals and full accredited courses within the industry. Kim is a member of IFA, CIDESCO, BABTAC, the British Society of Perfumers, the Society of Cosmetic Scientists and The Aromatherapy Trade Council. She is a qualified Aesthetician, Aromatherapist, Reflexologist, NLP Practitioner and a Teacher/Examiner for the Complementary Therapy and Beauty industries.

Focus is on natural rather than synthetic, creating the most exquisite formulations that smell alive and vibrant. Our knowledge of complementary health therapies together with our formulation skills, contribute to creating unique natural synergies. All our formulations are bespoke and are created to a specific brief dictated by you, the client. We specialise in using rare, unusual and exotic essential oils, extracts and raw materials within blends, to create matchless fragrances with strong and interesting marketing rationale behind them. Developing fragrances requires specialist skills, in particular a deep understanding of the relationships between the multitudes of fragrance components.
